Whilst smearing on this treat of a potion just now, it suddenly occurred to me that in my first frenzy of excitement when I discovered this one stop pot, I tweeted about it but didn’t blog the word!. So, by my calculations, you are all running around with chapped lips and rough heels, whilst I’m wafting around quite unblemished (now)…
Champagne Again
Forging ahead with my preoccupation with all things LAFCO, because they are assiduously researched and produced, and the ingredients are delicious. I will now tell you how their Champagne Reparative Hand Cream has performed for me. As a blogger that reads blogs, I do tend to enter the ‘white noise ‘area if I am given too many details on a product. I like the bullet points and a personal recommendation .
Champagne Everywhere
Look what I have here. These Champagne soaps by Lafco, are excellent for dry, aging, super sensitive or damaged skin because they give back oil and nutrients naturally. They are perfect for use on your face since they automatically balance your skins natural sebum (the skin absorbs what it needs and the rest is washed away). This soap is more like a beauty bar than just soap. When you use it, you will notice that there is a silky layer that stays on for a minute or so then is quickly absorbed. Heaven.
Strobe Highlighting
On my quest for epidermal exquisiteness, I pester everyone that may afford me an insight. No one and certainly no make up artist is off limits. Anyway, on my shoot last week and for all our sakes really, I pursued my objective. Insider knowledge, and having been nicely placated with great advice, I have extracted this week’s must have, turn your life around, gem. I give you Mac’s Strobe Cream. You can mix a little with your moisturiser and you will look radiant, glowy ( new model edit word, but you know what I mean ),and fresh faced. Or if you’re wearing foundation, mix in a little splodge and this will subtly highlight your face from within your make up. It’s an uplifting, treat of a product.
Hairy Fairy
I think that it won’t have escaped your notice that I have naturally, quite a mop on my head. But part of being a working model is accepting other people’s view of you particularly a client, and that everyone on set has a job to do, or be seen to be doing, so the tonging and consequent brushing of the tonged hair, at my job last week, were pretty much how I’ve spent most of my career…..
Surprisingly Cheap, Beautifully Cheerful
Supposedly perusing the internet for something completely different like light bulbs or something, my subconscious vanity hijacked me and suddenly I was quite happily sifting through anti wrinkle creams, truly . Don’t query the route I took to find these products from OZ Naturals, just read on.
Pony Tails
July Vogue has promoted pony tails and the wearing thereof, so do I. When I was little and my mother tortuously brushed my hair with a very un-bendy hairbrush and restrained it with an elastic band ( no nicely covered stretchy bands way back then ), it became a tearful process, both doing the style and then undoing it. I associated Pony Tail’s with pain and ugliness, which in retrospect wasn’t surprising as red puffy eyes are rarely pretty. Now, it’s all change here with my Tangle Teeser and my forgiving hair bands. It’s a style that depending on the height and position, on your head, can suit any age and face shape. You’ll see in some other posts that I do tend to scrape my hair back in a pony tail with varying styling success, you be the judges. Also, the nape of the neck, under used body part, so set that as featured image for a while, We like!
Update on my Concealer
Just gotta say, it’s all good here. It’s 9.o5, still 31st May, and I’m getting into my Pyjamas, because I’m that exciting. I have looked resplendent all day, with no dark circles, and I owe it all to Estee Lauder!
Magic Wand
I am seriously seeking out the absolute top essentials for my make up bag and donating some of it’s current inhabitants to the V and A, as historical artefacts. There are so many choices to be made because there are some properly fabulous products on offer. I started my fact finding mission, at the beginning, by pursuing the base layer, and it’s best friend, concealer. After doing the footwork ( eye work really, as I trawled magazines and the internet ),I went to the Beauty department of London’s top department stores, and started sampling. For me, the winner was Estee Lauder’s Doublewear wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer
