Here you have the pictorial evidence of my trolley dash around the Oxford Street, Regent Street, Carnaby Street shopping genuflection. I am throwing out these glistering prizes as possible show stoppers or part thereof, over the Christmas hols. The left hand and centre outfits are from TOPSHOP and the far right is a suggestion from H&M. What I don’t want you to do is run screaming away from this post because you’re convinced that there’s nothing here for you. Remember, style is all smoke and mirrors. Read on;
There are so, so many bits and pieces easily accessible that are swingingly on trend that will highlight or hide any given part of your anatomy. However, the point is that everyone can come to the party. All three items shown above are from your friendly neighbourhood TOPSHOP.
The go-to Tuxedo of my outing was this corker from H&M. Look at it girls… It’s so cool and has sequins in just the right places. Wear it with a shirt if you’re going for androgyny or go casual with the the little silver T shirt featured in this post, from TOPSHOP. Wardrobe gold, do I really have to point it out? Above left are a pair of twinkling knitted trousers from TOPSHOP that look scary tight. Well they are, but that makes them easy to wear with a tunic like the gold Lurex one that’s featured in this post. Or you could put all kinds of dresses, jackets, long T shirts over/with them. Not many of us hate our ankles so we can all get fussy and flamboyant in that area and these pants are perfect for stepping a little out of the box, in high ankle boots, sandals, the lot. Ease yourselves in to some previously avoided items that you can adapt to your liking, and that get you up on the catwalk with the rest of us.
Find your happy place and dress it up for Christmas…and well into the New Year!
