Whining about my Wetsuit

wetsuit, stretchy, traumatic, struggle

Last shots of my wetsuit angst . Promise, sort of, until the angsty feelings reappear. It’s a difficult call. Wetsuit up and be warm, or  man up and freeze. The upshot is that the love /hate codependency on my wetsuit, relationship. ever endures. wetsuit, struggle, neoprene

My children have dined out on my antics in the changing room in the iconic Polzeath, Anns Cottage Surf Shop, last year when absolute necessity ( 2 minutes in the sea alone and freezing, as opposed to 2 hours in the sea, frolicking with my fam ), drove me to purchasing a new one. I say it with no shame, that as far as challenging experiences go, the putting on and taking off of a wetsuit is up there  (at least for me ) with childbirth. I have daydreamed about being so incredibly wealthy that I could cut my wetsuit off each day and have an entirely new one the next time.

Little footnote. I am aware of worse problems in the world….

Easy way to get legs on…put your foot in a plastic bag…pull out of leg once wet suit donned. SOOOO much easier !
I’ve got a fiendishly difficult but gorgeous Ripcurl Flash bomb chest zip…

It’s obvious when you put it like that… Where were you when I needed you? x
